KENNETT SQUARE, PA — State Rep. Christina Sappey, D-Chester, will host her fourth annual Veterans Breakfast and Recognition Ceremony on Friday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kennett Square VFW Post 5467, located at 704 W. Baltimore Pike.
The free event honors local veterans for their service while connecting them and their families with information on state programs and benefits available to them.
“This annual breakfast for the veterans of our community is both an expression of appreciation for their service to our nation and an opportunity for them to learn more about the benefits and services available to them,” Sappey said. “I look forward to meeting with these veterans who have courageously contributed to our country and our community.”
Attendees will receive a complimentary hot breakfast and hear a keynote address from Brig. Gen. Frank J. McGovern IV, assistant adjutant general for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Advance registration is required. Veterans and their families must RSVP by November 1 by calling 484-200-8264 or emailing RepSappey@pahouse.net.
