ROYERSFORD, PA — State Sen. Katie Muth (D-Chester/Montgomery/Berks) will host her annual Veterans Expo on Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. The event is free and open to veterans living in Senate District 44.
Now in its yearly tradition, the expo brings together more than 60 local and statewide veterans’ organizations and service providers to help veterans access the benefits and services available to them. Veterans of all ages are invited to attend.
Maj. Gen. John Pippy, the 55th Adjutant General of Pennsylvania and head of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will also be present to meet with veterans.
“This event is about making sure our veterans and their families know what’s available to them and helping connect them directly with the resources they’ve earned,” Muth said.
Lunch from Mission BBQ will be provided free to each registered veteran and one guest. Veterans in Senate District 44 must register in advance online at www.senatormuth.com/VetExpo or by calling 610-792-2137.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 discharge documents if they have not yet applied for a local veterans’ discount card. Representatives from the Chester County and Montgomery County Record of Deeds Offices will be on-site to process applications for the free discount card, which can be used at participating local businesses. Skippack Pharmacy will also provide free vaccinations for attendees with valid health insurance.
The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is located at 100 Station Ave., Oaks, PA.
