DOWNINGTOWN, PA — If you’re looking for a way to shake off winter and do something positive with neighbors and friends, the Snowball Shuffle is designed for exactly that.
Communities That Care of Greater Downingtown (CTC) will host its 5th Annual Snowball Shuffle 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, March 7, at Eagleview Town Center. The morning blends fitness and fun with a community mission: supporting a healthier, more connected Downingtown where young people are empowered to thrive.
New this year, the 5K will be officially timed by Run The Day, adding an extra spark for runners who enjoy chasing a personal best. Medals will be awarded to the fastest overall male and female finishers, along with the top three finishers in each age group for both men and women, while walkers and casual runners can still enjoy the festive atmosphere and finish-line celebration.
Registration includes a long-sleeve moisture-wicking event shirt and access to event perks that make the day feel like a winter festival: a hot chocolate bar, sweets station, refuel table, a raffle, and more. Organizers encourage families, teams, and first-timers to join in, whether you plan to run hard, walk and talk, or simply soak up the energy.
CTC, a local coalition of schools, businesses, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and community organizations, uses evidence-based prevention programs and policies focused on youth development and positive mental health. Proceeds and visibility from community events like the Snowball Shuffle help support that ongoing work throughout the Greater Downingtown area.
