KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Square Police Department has partnered with the Maternal and Child Health Consortium to launch a holiday donation drive aimed at supporting local children and families in need this winter.

The department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for children from newborn to age 16, along with new or gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves, socks, and hats. Donations can be dropped off at police headquarters, located at 600 S. Broad Street in Kennett Square, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The deadline for contributions is December 5, 2025.

Community members who prefer to give virtually can purchase items through the Maternal and Child Health Consortium’s Amazon Wishlist, with donations delivered directly to the organization.

Organizers say the annual effort provides comfort, warmth, and hope to families facing financial hardship during the holiday season. The initiative reflects a growing community tradition of neighbors helping neighbors — ensuring that every child experiences the joy and warmth of the season.
