Wyomissing Police Seek Suspects Accused of Using Counterfeit Cash at Local Store

WYOMISSING, PA — Authorities in Wyomissing are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals suspected of passing counterfeit currency at a local retail store.

According to the Wyomissing Police Department, the incident involved the use of $440 in fraudulent twenty-dollar bills. Investigators say the suspects, whose images were captured by surveillance cameras, conducted the alleged transaction at an undisclosed business within the borough.

The investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone who may recognize the individuals in the released photos to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the Wyomissing Police Department at 610-375-6102, submitted online, or reported anonymously through Crime Alert Berks County by calling 877-373-9913 or texting “ALERTBERKS” followed by the tip to 847411. Those submitting information are asked to reference incident number 39-25-4802.
