WYOMISSING, PA — Police responded to a range of incidents Sunday, including a reported fight, theft, and a hit-and-run crash, according to authorities.
According to the Wyomissing Police Department, officers were dispatched at 2:19 a.m. to Rose Virginia Road for a burglar alarm. Police reported all doors and windows were secure and the alarm was determined to be false.
At 3:10 a.m., officers conducted a security check on Berkshire Boulevard after an unsecured rear door was reported at a business. Police said the interior was checked and the door was secured.
Shortly after, at 3:24 a.m., officers responded to Park Road North for a report of disorderly conduct involving two juveniles. According to police, the juveniles left the scene after contact was made.
At 3:25 a.m., police were dispatched to Penn Avenue for a trespassing report. Authorities said the individual had left the area but was later located and will be cited.
Later in the morning at 10:23 a.m., officers responded to Papermill Road for a 911 hang-up call. Police reported the caller could not be located.
During the afternoon, officers handled several calls beginning at 2:43 p.m. on Delaware Avenue near Forest Avenue for a neighbor dispute, which police said was resolved without further action.
At the same time, officers responded to Parkside Drive South for an animal complaint involving a barking dog. Police reported the homeowner addressed the issue.
At 2:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to Park Road North for a noise complaint. According to police, the resident agreed to lower the music.
At 4:08 p.m., police conducted a welfare check on Dauphin Avenue. Authorities reported no issues were found.
At 4:33 p.m., officers responded to Spring Street near Park Road North for a reported theft of $40. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
At 4:58 p.m., officers received a report on Berkshire Boulevard of three males allegedly following and threatening a complainant. Police reported the incident was verbal and no physical altercation occurred.
At 5:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to Berkshire Boulevard for a fight. Police said the individuals involved were separated and the investigation is ongoing.
At 5:46 p.m., officers responded to Hill Avenue for a 911 hang-up call, which police said was determined to be accidental.
At 6:14 p.m., officers responded to Woodland Road near Papermill Road for a two-vehicle crash. According to police, no injuries were reported and information was exchanged.
At 6:44 p.m., officers checked Park Road South for a reported barking dog but found no issue.
At 7:12 p.m., police responded to Berkshire Boulevard for a civil matter involving money left at a self-checkout. Authorities said the business reimbursed the complainant.
At 7:34 p.m., officers were dispatched to Old Wyomissing Road for reports of e-bikes riding on park trails. Police reported the individuals were gone on arrival.
At 7:57 p.m., officers responded to Wyomissing Boulevard near Reading Boulevard for a hit-and-run crash. Police said information was collected from those involved.
Later that evening, officers responded to additional complaints, including reports of dangerous e-bike activity and a 911 hang-up call on Woodland Road, which police said was unfounded.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
