ELVERSON, PA — Police are seeking to identify a woman after cash left behind by a customer at a local business was taken, authorities said.
According to Caernarvon Township Police, the incident began on March 17, when a customer reported receiving $60.00 in cash back during a transaction but left the store without taking the money.
Police said the cash remained at the point of sale after the customer exited the business.
Investigators reported that surveillance footage confirmed the customer received the cash but failed to retrieve it before leaving. According to police, the money remained unattended until an unknown individual took it at approximately 4:46 p.m.
The customer returned to the store the following day to recover the cash but was advised to file a police report after it could not be located, police said.
Authorities are now attempting to identify a female depicted in surveillance footage in connection with the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Caernarvon Township Police at 610-286-1012 and reference case number 32-26-1954.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
