Woman Charged with Retail Theft After Giant Incident

SINKING SPRING, PA — A 19-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an alleged retail theft at a Giant supermarket in Spring Township.

According to the Spring Township Police Department, officers were dispatched on January 27, 2026, to Giant at 2641 Shillington Road for a report of retail theft involving a male and a female. Police said the individuals allegedly left the store with $246.75 worth of unpaid merchandise.

Following an investigation, police charged Yarelis Martinez, 19, with retail theft and conspiracy. Authorities said the charges were filed in connection with the January 27 incident. Martinez was arrested February 10, 2026, according to the department.

Court records were not immediately available to confirm additional details about the case.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
