Woman Arrested After Daylight Robbery in Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Police have arrested a woman accused in connection with a robbery reported Friday afternoon in downtown Wilmington.

Wilmington police reported officers were dispatched at approximately 2:00 p.m. on March 6 to the area of 8th and Shipley Streets following reports of a robbery.

According to investigators, responding officers located one of the suspects at the scene and took 32-year-old July Vriscoa into custody without incident.

Police said Vriscoa was also found to be wanted on an unrelated matter at the time of her arrest.

Authorities reported that Vriscoa has been charged with second-degree robbery.

Police said she was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $2,500 unsecured bail.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
