LINWOOD, PA — A local woman has been charged following an alleged domestic incident that reportedly endangered a small child and disrupted traffic on a busy roadway last weekend, according to the Lower Chichester Township Police Department.
Police said that on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at approximately 9:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Market Street and Ridge Road for reports of a woman allegedly assaulting a man while running through traffic with a young child.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the male victim, who told police that his partner, identified as 35-year-old Theresa R. Iaconelli, had forcibly taken their 3-year-old son from his arms and run into the street as vehicles passed. He also alleged that Iaconelli struck him multiple times during the confrontation.
Witnesses at the scene corroborated the victim’s account, with one witness reporting that the child had been dragged by the hair into the roadway, and another stating that Iaconelli shouted racial slurs during the incident. Police said Iaconelli fled the area with two children before officers arrived.
A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. On Monday, September 29, at approximately 9:36 a.m., Iaconelli turned herself in at the Lower Chichester Police Department without incident. She was charged with endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, and two counts of disorderly conduct.
Iaconelli was arraigned and released on $100,000 unsecured bail under conditions prohibiting contact with the children. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, at District Court 32-1-36.
All charges are allegations, and a suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
