LANSDOWNE, PA — A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody after police said she was wanted on multiple felony warrants from out of state.
According to East Lansdowne Police, Officer Stephen Mengini was on patrol at approximately 12:15 p.m. March 31 when he observed a woman known to have outstanding warrants in the unit block of Wildwood Avenue.
Police reported the woman, identified as Stephanie Marie George, was taken into custody without incident.
According to authorities, felony warrants from Delaware and Maryland related to narcotics and other charges were confirmed.
Police said George has been charged in Pennsylvania as a fugitive from justice and was remanded to Delaware County Prison, where she is awaiting an extradition hearing.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
