Witness Intimidation Alleged After Parkesburg Main Street Incident

PARKESBURG, PA — Police in Parkesburg have filed charges against an 18-year-old man following an alleged witness intimidation incident that authorities say occurred last week in the borough’s downtown corridor.

According to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department, Mekai Eugene Proctor, 18, was charged with witness intimidation and related offenses stemming from an incident reported on Thursday, December 18, in the 300 block of Main Street. The arrest was made the following day, Friday, December 19.

Investigators allege that Proctor engaged in conduct intended to intimidate or influence a witness connected to an active matter. Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged encounter or the nature of the underlying case.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled to take place at District Court 15-3-07, where the charges will be formally reviewed and the case may proceed to the next stage of the judicial process.
