Wilmington Woman Charged After Police Seize Heroin and Crack in Drug Bust

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington woman is facing multiple drug-related charges following a mid-morning arrest by members of the city’s Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division, authorities confirmed this week.

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 11:12 a.m., officers conducting operations in the 2100 block of Locust Street reported observing a woman allegedly engaged in suspected drug activity. Officers made contact with the individual, identified as 40-year-old Tamiya Gregory, and detained her without incident.

During the arrest, investigators reportedly recovered .4 grams of crack cocaine, .24 grams of heroin, and various items of drug paraphernalia from Gregory’s possession. Police allege the items were consistent with intent to distribute.

Gregory was subsequently charged with the following offenses:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released after posting $5,200 secured bail.

As with all criminal matters, it is important to note that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation remains ongoing.
