WILMINGTON, DE — A 17-year-old male is in critical condition following a shooting early Saturday morning in Wilmington, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.
The Wilmington Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 2:08 a.m. on Saturday in the 400 block of North Franklin Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Officials have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting or potential suspects. Investigators continue to pursue leads and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
