Wilmington Task Force Arrests Wanted Man, Recovers Loaded Handgun

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police arrested a 20-year-old man on gun-related allegations Tuesday morning after locating him during an active investigation in the city’s North Washington Street corridor.

According to the department, members of the Safe Streets Task Force had been searching for a wanted individual in the 1900 block of North Washington Street. On December 2 at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers found LaShaun Bradley at the location and took him into custody without incident.

Following the arrest, officers executed a search warrant at the same address. Police say the search led to the recovery of a loaded 10mm handgun.

Bradley has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $20,000 cash-only bail.

All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
