Wilmington Police Probe Vandever Avenue Shooting That Left 26-Year-Old Hospitalized

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left a 26-year-old man injured Sunday evening in the city’s East Side neighborhood.

Authorities say the incident occurred on August 17, 2025, at approximately 5:58 p.m. in the unit block of Vandever Avenue. Responding officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where police report he is in stable condition.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No information about a suspect has been released at this time.
