Wilmington Police Investigating Shooting That Left Man Injured

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured late Friday afternoon.

According to officials, officers were dispatched at approximately 4:35 p.m. on September 19 to the area of East 23rd and Jessup Streets, where they located a 57-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Following further investigation, authorities determined that the injury was the result of a shooting incident within Wilmington’s jurisdiction.

The case remains under active investigation, and police have not released additional details regarding potential suspects or circumstances surrounding the incident.
