WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities in Wilmington are investigating a shooting that left a 22-year-old man injured late Saturday night.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of West 6th Street at approximately 10:57 p.m. on July 5. Upon arrival, they located a 22-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Investigators are actively working to gather evidence, review any available surveillance footage, and speak with potential witnesses to determine the circumstances of the incident.
