WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police announced the arrest of a 24-year-old man who was taken into custody last week on an outstanding warrant and later found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.

Authorities reported that on September 4, at approximately 9:16 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force conducted a vehicle stop in the 300 block of West 9th Street. Pringle was arrested without incident. A subsequent search led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm handgun, police said.

In addition to the outstanding warrant, Pringle has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and later released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

As with all criminal matters, it is important to note that charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
