WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man is facing multiple charges following an alleged shots fired incident that did not result in injuries, according to local authorities.
Police reported that on June 17, 2025, at approximately 11:12 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of West 27th Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed a male suspect fleeing on foot.
Following a brief pursuit, police detained 29-year-old Branden Moore without further incident. During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun.
Moore has been charged with:
- Two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited
- Criminal impersonation
- Resisting arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and has been committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $6,000 cash-only bail.
