Wilmington Man Charged in Shocking 2023 Murder Case!

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2023 fatal shooting incident following a lengthy investigation.

The case stems from a shooting that occurred on July 11, 2023, in the area of Pleasant and Harrison Streets. Officers with the Wilmington Police Department’s Uniformed Services Division responded to reports of gunfire and located a victim, identified as 44-year-old Aaron Reid. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation was led by Detective Justin Kane of the Criminal Investigations Division, who identified 33-year-old Dhron Goldsborough as a suspect. On June 9, 2025, the case was presented to the New Castle County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment. Goldsborough was taken into custody without incident on June 14, 2025, by the Uniformed Services Division.

Goldsborough faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and first-degree conspiracy. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with bail set at $4,505,000 cash-only.

Authorities remind the public that Goldsborough is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Updates on the case will be provided as more information becomes available.
