WILMINGTON, DE – A 22-year-old man is facing multiple charges after Wilmington Police reportedly recovered a loaded firearm during a vehicle stop earlier this week.
The incident, which occurred on May 11, 2025, at approximately 2:24 p.m., began when officers from the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of West 4th Street. During the stop, police say the front passenger of the vehicle exited and fled on foot.
Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended the individual, identified as Shyquan Hall, without further incident. Police report recovering a loaded 9mm handgun during the arrest.
Charges
Hall has been charged with the following offenses:
- Two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited
- Carrying a concealed deadly weapon
- Resisting arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $22,000 cash-only bail.
Hall, as with all individuals accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
