Wilmington Man Arrested After Police Seize Over 300 Grams of Crack Cocaine

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man has been arrested following a police investigation that led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of crack cocaine, authorities announced this week.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division began investigating 37-year-old Darnell Nuriddin in October for alleged illegal drug sales.

On November 6, officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 3400 block of Thatcher Street, where they took Nuriddin into custody without incident. A subsequent search warrant executed in the 500 block of East 35th Street resulted in the recovery of approximately 325.5 grams of crack cocaine and various items of drug paraphernalia.

Nuriddin has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $120,500 cash-only bail.

Police emphasize that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
