Wilmington Man Arrested After Police Seize Crack Cocaine and Heroin

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man has been arrested on multiple drug-related charges following an investigation by the city’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division.

According to authorities, the arrest occurred on October 21, 2025, at approximately 12:55 p.m. when officers were conducting surveillance in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street. Police observed a man allegedly involved in drug-related activity and made contact with 29-year-old Aquantay Garner.

Garner was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers reportedly recovered 27.25 grams of crack cocaine and 0.39 grams of heroin.

Garner has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity.

He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $130,000 cash-only bail.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
