Wilmington Drug Bust: Two Men Charged After Alleged Street Deal Near Lancaster Avenue

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have charged two city men with drug-related offenses following an investigation in the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting surveillance in the area around 12:41 p.m. when they observed two individuals allegedly engaged in narcotics transactions. The suspects—identified as 34-year-old Kendall Flowers and 22-year-old Israel El—were taken into custody without incident.

During the arrest, officers reportedly seized 3.5 grams of crack cocaine and approximately 80 grams of marijuana.

Both men have been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a felony offense. In addition, police noted that Flowers was wanted on an unrelated matter at the time of his arrest.

Following arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, both suspects were released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

As with all criminal cases, the charges against the defendants are allegations. Both Flowers and El are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
