Who Opened Fire in Wilmington? Two Hospitalized After Midday Shooting

WILMINGTON, DE — Police in Wilmington are investigating a daytime shooting that left two people injured on Monday.

The incident occurred on September 8, 2025, at approximately 12:10 p.m., near the intersection of 10th and Bennett Streets, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Officers arriving at the scene located two victims:

  • A 47-year-old woman, who was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
  • A 28-year-old man, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims at this time.

Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police have not disclosed any information regarding possible suspects or motives.
