Wanted Man Taken Into Custody After Police Seize Drugs and Cash in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — A man wanted on an outstanding warrant was taken into custody last week after Wilmington police say officers recovered multiple controlled substances and cash during an arrest in the city’s west side.

According to police, members of the Uniformed Services Division observed 34-year-old Terrance Waters at approximately 11:00 a.m. on January 17 in the 400 block of West 7th Street. Officers confirmed Waters was allegedly wanted in connection with an active warrant issued by the Wilmington Police Department and made contact with him at the scene.

Police said Waters was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers allege they recovered approximately 18 grams of marijuana, 95 pills of Oxycodone, 47 pills of Ecstasy, 15 pills of Percocet, and $424 in U.S. currency.

As a result of the investigation, Waters has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, Tier 2; one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver; two counts of possession of a controlled substance, Tier 2; and one count of possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, in addition to the outstanding warrant, police said. All charges are allegations.

Waters was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after bail was set at $29,100 secured, authorities said.

All criminal charges are allegations. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
