PHILADELPHIA, PA — A longtime Bucks County educator who spent nearly four decades in the classroom pleaded guilty this week in federal court to child pornography charges, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced.
Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, entered a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Gerald J. Pappert to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Federal prosecutors said Adamsky was indicted in September 2025 for knowingly receiving visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024. Authorities also alleged that Adamsky possessed two computers and two flash drives that contained images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including prepubescent children and minors under the age of 12.
At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was employed as a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, where he had taught for approximately 38 years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The program coordinates federal, state, and local law enforcement efforts to identify victims and investigate and prosecute individuals who exploit children, particularly through online platforms.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Philadelphia Division, Fort Washington Resident Agency, in coordination with the Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Maureen McCartney.
