Verbal Dispute Over Package Turns Violent in West Philly — Police Seek Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are actively investigating an alleged assault that occurred in West Philadelphia last month and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The incident took place on the afternoon of June 15, 2025, along the 4800 block of Trinity Place. According to the victim, the altercation began after he attempted to retrieve a package for a neighbor. A verbal exchange ensued between the victim and a man seated on the porch of the property, which reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation resulting in injury.

Authorities have released surveillance images and are urging anyone who recognizes the individual involved not to approach him, but instead to call 911 immediately.
