WILMINGTON, DE — New Castle County police have identified the man who died following an officer-involved shooting earlier this week in the unit block of Ramsey Road.
Police reported that the individual involved in the March 3 incident has been identified as Daniel Shacklett, 35, of Wilmington.
According to police, Shacklett died after an encounter with officers responding to a reported shooting incident at the residence.
Authorities said Shacklett’s body has been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police reported that the investigation remains active.
