PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged shooting that critically injured a 32-year-old man on August 24, 2025. The incident occurred at 4:16 a.m. on the 5200 block of Torresdale Avenue, where the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and remains in critical condition.
According to investigators, the suspect is a Black male, approximately 40 years old, with short black hair, a full beard and mustache, a dark brown complexion, and a thin build. He was seen wearing a white tank top and black sneakers with white logos and soles on both days he was observed, and he carried a large black Nike backpack during the shooting.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group has released video of the individual sought and urges anyone with information to come forward. Authorities emphasize that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
