Two Shot in Daylight Wilmington Shooting; Suspect in Custody

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that injured two people Wednesday afternoon in the unit block of Cedar Street.

Police said officers responded around 12:10 p.m. on March 4 and located a 54-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. According to police, the victim was transported to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Officers also located a second victim, a 29-year-old female who had been shot. Police reported she was also transported to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Investigators said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. Police reported that a suspect is in custody as the investigation continues.

Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Police said the investigation remains active and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
