MORGANTOWN, PACaernarvon Township Police have arrested two Philadelphia residents in connection with a series of vehicle thefts in the Pennwood Development, authorities announced this week.

Police said the arrests followed an investigation led by Officer Christopher Dunlap, who developed information linking two suspects and a U-Haul truck to the overnight thefts. On the afternoon of the arrests, around 1:30 p.m., the U-Haul was spotted at the Sheetz store in Morgantown and placed under surveillance.

When the suspects returned to the vehicle, they were detained and found to be in possession of stolen property tied to earlier incidents. Both individuals were taken to the Berks County Sheriff’s Central Processing Center, where they remain pending formal charges.
