Two Charged After Alleged Burglary and Assault on North New Street

WEST CHESTER, PA — Two men are facing multiple charges after West Chester Police say an investigation into an assault led to their arrest on burglary-related offenses earlier this month.

According to the West Chester Police Department, officers responded around 12:45 p.m. on November 5, 2025, to the 100 block of North New Street for a reported assault. Following the investigation, police arrested 26-year-old Sean Riley of New Jersey and 27-year-old Brian Thompson of West Chester.

Both men were charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and loitering and prowling at night. In a second report of the same incident, police noted that Thompson and Riley also face a charge of simple assault in connection with the confrontation.

The two were transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled at District Court 15-1-01.

No further details about the alleged assault or the circumstances leading to the burglary charges have been released.
