WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities in Wilmington continue their investigation of a fatal shooting that took place on the evening of Friday, May 23, 2025, near the intersection of West 23rd and Washington Streets.
Police responded to the scene at approximately 7:44 p.m. and discovered two male gunshot victims. Abu Thomas, 24, was critically injured and transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A second victim, a 25-year-old male, was hospitalized and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials have stated that further details will be made available when possible.
