WYOMISSING, PA — Police responded to a range of calls Sunday, March 8, including traffic violations, a medical emergency, a reported theft, and a vehicle crash, according to Wyomissing police.
Police reported the first incident at 12:17 a.m. Sunday when officers conducted a traffic stop on Penn Avenue near State Hill Road for a lane movement violation. Authorities said the driver was issued a warning before officers cleared the scene at 12:23 a.m.
At 1:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to East Park Road for a reported medical emergency. Police said the call involved a cardiac arrest, and a male patient was transported to Reading Hospital by Western Berks EMS.
Shortly after 3:05 a.m., officers conducted another traffic stop on Penn Avenue near Lake Avenue for a lane movement violation. According to police, the driver received a warning.
Police responded at 3:38 a.m. to Woodland Road after a 911 hang-up call reportedly requesting an ambulance in Philadelphia. Officers said they searched the area but did not locate anyone in need of assistance.
At 8:41 a.m., police received a report of a single-vehicle crash on the Route 12 ramp. Investigators said the vehicle struck a barrier, and the operator was transported to Reading Hospital Medical Center by Western Berks Ambulance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Officers were dispatched at 1:05 p.m. to Penn Avenue for a report of disorderly conduct. Police reported the individuals involved had left the area before officers arrived.
At 3:29 p.m., officers responded to another 911 hang-up call on Woodland Road. Police said employees at the location were unaware of any emergency.
Police reported a theft at 4:41 p.m. on Wyomissing Hills Boulevard, where a complainant said lawn tools were stolen from a shed. The investigation remains ongoing, according to authorities.
At 5:15 p.m., Wyomissing officers assisted Spring Township police with a “class four” subject in their jurisdiction, police reported.
Officers responded at 6:18 p.m. to Cherrywood Road for an ongoing neighbor dispute, according to police.
While on patrol at 7:33 p.m., officers located a disabled vehicle on Route 422 near Ramp L. Police said traffic control was provided until the driver was able to change a tire and safely leave the area.
Police conducted a traffic stop at 8:12 p.m. on Route 422 near North Wyomissing Boulevard after officers observed a motorcycle performing wheelies and displaying an illegible registration plate. Authorities said the operator’s license was suspended and the vehicle registration had expired. Citations were issued.
At 8:23 p.m., officers conducted another traffic stop on State Hill Road near the Route 422 ramp for a traffic signal violation. Police said a juvenile passenger was not secured in a required booster seat, and citations were issued.
Police stopped a vehicle at 8:46 p.m. on Museum Road near Old Mill Road for expired registration and inspection, according to investigators. The driver was cited.
Officers conducted a traffic stop at 8:57 p.m. on State Hill Road near the Route 422 ramp for turning and traffic signal violations. Police said the driver was issued a citation.
At 9:33 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Woodland Road near Ridgewood Road for traffic signal and expired registration violations. Authorities said the driver was found to have a suspended license and citations were issued.
Police reported another traffic stop at 11:05 p.m. on State Hill Road near Wellington Boulevard for expired registration. The driver was cited, according to investigators.
The final incident occurred at 11:25 p.m. on Penn Avenue near Park Road South, where police conducted a traffic stop for recently expired registration. Authorities said the driver received a warning.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
