WILMINGTON, DE — Three individuals, including a juvenile, are facing charges after police said a traffic stop led to the alleged discovery of multiple firearms and drugs.
According to New Castle County Police, detectives conducting patrols Wednesday, March 25, at approximately 5:42 p.m. observed a traffic violation involving a white Toyota Camry on Governor Printz Boulevard and initiated a stop.
Police reported that the driver, 19-year-old Cineale Lavjonne, was accompanied by 18-year-old Jermiah Banner and a 17-year-old male juvenile, all of Wilmington.
According to investigators, a probable cause search of the vehicle allegedly led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm handgun reported stolen, a second loaded 9mm handgun without a serial number, and approximately 155 grams of marijuana.
Authorities said detectives later obtained and executed a search warrant at Lavjonne’s residence in the 1700 block of Pennrock Road, where they allegedly recovered additional ammunition, approximately 309 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Police reported that Lavjonne was charged with multiple felony offenses, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, receiving a stolen firearm, and drug-related offenses, along with traffic violations.
Authorities said Lavjonne was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $78,000 cash bail.
According to police, Banner was charged with felony counts including carrying a concealed deadly weapon, receiving a stolen firearm, and possession of an untraceable firearm. Police said he was arraigned and committed in lieu of $7,000 secured bail.
Police reported the 17-year-old juvenile was charged with second-degree conspiracy, arraigned, and released on his own recognizance.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
