WILMINGTON, DE — Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Active Crime Trends Team arrested a Philadelphia man following a traffic stop in Wilmington that led to the discovery of firearms, drugs, and forged prescription materials.
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers observed a white Nissan Altima commit a traffic violation in the Edgemoor area. A stop was conducted on Northeast Boulevard at East 27th Street, where police identified the driver as 47-year-old Harice Reddick of Philadelphia, the sole occupant of the vehicle.
During the stop, detectives recovered a loaded Ruger 57 handgun with a 20-round magazine, a doctor’s prescription pad, a stamp used to forge a physician’s signature, prepackaged marijuana, and additional concealed weapons and ammunition.
Reddick was transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters and charged with the following offenses:
- Two felony counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon
- One felony count of possession of a large capacity magazine during the commission of a felony
- One felony count of possession of a large capacity magazine
- One felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- One felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- One felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, a firearm
- One felony count of forgery second degree
- One felony count of possession of a blank prescription form
- One misdemeanor count of possession of a prescription drug, not a controlled substance
- One misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia
- One traffic violation for operating an unregistered motor vehicle
- One traffic violation for failing to remain within a single lane
Reddick was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $48,202 cash bail.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
