HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a man and a woman are facing serious drug trafficking charges following an alleged traffic stop that led to the seizure of cocaine and marijuana in Blair County.

According to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, investigators with the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by multiple local and state law enforcement agencies, apprehended the defendants and seized approximately 4.5 ounces of cocaine and two pounds of marijuana during the operation.

Authorities said Damien Hunter, 48, of Huntingdon, was charged with two counts of alleged possession with intent to deliver controlled substances—cocaine and marijuana—along with conspiracy, flight to avoid apprehension, evading arrest on foot, resisting arrest, and related offenses. His bail was set at $250,000.

Whitney Ramsey, 33, of Mount Union, was charged with two counts of alleged possession with intent to deliver cocaine and marijuana, one count of criminal conspiracy related to possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary traffic offenses. Her bail was set at $200,000 unsecured.

“This was a great collaboration between law enforcement that removed illegal drugs that threatened our communities and resulted in the apprehension of two alleged traffickers,” Sunday said. He added that he was grateful for the work of the officers involved and said similar enforcement efforts will continue.

Investigators allege the case began with a traffic stop on December 31 along Route 22 in Allegheny Township. Authorities said Hunter attempted to flee the scene but was captured a short distance away, and cocaine was allegedly found on his person. Police said the marijuana was recovered from inside the vehicle.

The investigation involved assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police, Blair County Drug Task Force, Tyrone Borough Police Department, Allegheny Township Police Department, and Altoona Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by the Blair County District Attorney’s Office, with preliminary hearings scheduled for January 8.

Officials emphasized that the charges are allegations only, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
