Three Men Sentenced for Illegal Reentry into the United States

U.S. Attorney's Office

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Three men convicted of illegally reentering the United States after prior deportations were sentenced this week in federal court, according to U.S. Attorney David Metcalf.

On June 26, Hernan Molina-Perez, 33, a Honduran national, was sentenced to time served of approximately three months by U.S. District Judge Chad F. Kenney. Molina-Perez, who was previously deported in 2007, had reentered the country and was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) this April after his illegal presence was confirmed. Following his guilty plea, Molina-Perez will again be removed from the United States.

Oscar Navas-Rixtun, 37, a Guatemalan national, was sentenced on June 25 by U.S. District Judge Wendy Beetlestone to four months in prison for illegal reentry. Navas-Rixtun had been deported in 2020 but was again found in the U.S. earlier this year while facing unrelated criminal charges in Philadelphia. He pleaded guilty in May and will be deported upon completing his prison term.

Pedro Jimenez-Georges, 40, also known as Edwin Quezada Jimenez and Jose Quezada, is a Dominican national who was sentenced on June 23 to time served of approximately three months by U.S. District Judge Juan R. Sánchez. Previously deported in 2018 after failing to appear at an immigration hearing, Jimenez-Georges was arrested in March following ICE surveillance. Like the others, he pleaded guilty and will be deported again.

The cases were investigated by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Judy Smith, Robert Eckert, and Lindsey Mills.
