Three Charged with Riot and Assault After Alleged Road Rage Attack in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, PA — Three people have been charged in connection with an alleged assault that followed a crash earlier this month in Morgantown, according to the Caernarvon Township Police Department.

Police said officers responded at approximately 7:12 p.m. on February 4 to the intersection of Walnut Street and North Street for a reported assault.

According to police, the incident began with a motor vehicle crash on Main Street involving a silver Toyota Camry and the victim’s vehicle. Authorities allege that the Camry and a silver Nissan Altima then boxed in the victim’s vehicle, after which three individuals exited the vehicles and assaulted the victim.

Police stated that security and dash-mounted camera footage allegedly show the suspects striking the victim as he retreated to the rear of his vehicle. The footage also allegedly depicts one suspect kicking the victim in the head after he fell to the ground.

The victim sustained a large contusion to the back of his head, according to police.

Authorities allege the suspects fled but were pursued by the victim until stopping at Walnut Street and North Street, where officers made contact with the involved parties.

Faden Hardaway, 21, was arrested February 18 and charged with riot, simple assault, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct, harassment, reckless driving, careless driving and obedience to traffic-control devices, police said.

Prince Tyler Thompson, 22, was charged with riot, simple assault, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct and harassment, according to police.

Destiny Washington, 27, was charged with riot, simple assault, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct, harassment, reckless driving, careless driving and obedience to traffic-control devices, police said.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
