PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the early hours of May 31, 2025, on the 1500 block of Kater Street, during which several valuable items, including jewelry and a firearm, were reportedly stolen.
The victim was awakened at approximately 12:45 a.m. by the sound of footsteps inside her home. Upon investigating, she encountered the alleged intruder in the living room as he exited the residence. Authorities stated that entry to the home was gained through the rear garage.
After the suspect fled, the homeowner discovered that various personal items had been taken. Police have not yet released a description of the suspect but are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Philadelphia Police ask that members of the public refrain from approaching the suspect if seen and instead immediately contact 911. Police emphasize that all parties involved are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
