CLAYMONT, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an alleged armed carjacking that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Riverview Motel in Claymont.
The incident was reported on June 10, 2025, at approximately 2:35 a.m. Authorities said the victim was walking to his car in the motel parking lot, located at 7811 Governor Printz Boulevard, when he allegedly encountered two to three male suspects attempting to enter his vehicle. A physical altercation ensued, during which two of the suspects reportedly brandished firearms.
The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s car, heading toward Governor Printz Boulevard. The victim sustained a minor injury and was evaluated at the scene by EMS.
The suspects are described as two to three unidentified Black males wearing dark-colored clothing. Investigators confirmed that surveillance footage is not yet available.
