BENSALEM, PA — A Philadelphia man has been charged following a series of alleged shooting incidents targeting juveniles near a Bensalem shopping complex earlier this month, according to the Bensalem Township Police Department.

Police said that on October 11, 2025, around 7:10 p.m., a group of juveniles were socializing in the parking lot at 3800 Horizon Boulevard when an Asian male sitting in a blue Toyota allegedly fired two shots in their direction before speeding away. Officers responding to the scene recovered two spent 9mm shell casings. No injuries were reported.

The juveniles told investigators they recognized the shooter from the area and claimed he had previously chased and fired shots at them on separate occasions that had not been reported to police. Detectives also uncovered another unreported incident from September 10, 2025, at the same location, when witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots after spotting a similar blue sedan leaving the scene.

Following these reports, Bensalem Police began surveillance of the area. On October 22, officers observed the suspect vehicle being driven by an Asian male believed to be in his early twenties. When officers attempted to approach, the driver allegedly accelerated toward a police vehicle before fleeing the scene, jumping a curb, and speeding across a grassy area. Investigators were able to record the vehicle’s registration number and later identified the owner.

Detectives determined that the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Talgat Turgunbekov of Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia, matched the description provided by witnesses. Authorities also linked him to a 2024 road rage incident during which he allegedly pointed a BB rifle and threw a tire iron through another driver’s rear window.

Police said the juveniles later identified Turgunbekov as the same person involved in the October 11 shooting. On October 24, Turgunbekov surrendered to Bensalem Police.

He has been charged with aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude police, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Daniel Baranoski and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
