HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Authorities in Lower Moreland Township are investigating a violent altercation outside a Wawa convenience store Thursday night that left an 18-year-old male critically injured.
According to police, the incident occurred on August 14, 2025, at approximately 9:39 p.m., when officers were dispatched to the Wawa at 2500 Philmont Avenue for a report of a large fight involving multiple individuals.
Before officers arrived, several people reportedly fled the area in vehicles. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male on the ground, unresponsive but breathing. The victim was transported by helicopter to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he remains in critical condition.
Lower Moreland Township Police Chief Scott Smith confirmed that the incident is under active investigation. Detectives are working to identify those involved and are urging community members who witnessed the fight or may have information to come forward.
