HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an incident in which he allegedly attempted to open multiple car doors in a parking lot along Welsh Road, authorities announced.
On August 2, 2025, officers with the Lower Moreland Township Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious person observed looking into vehicles in the 700 block of Welsh Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a male running down a nearby driveway.
The individual was later identified as Joshua Farrish. According to police, Farrish initially denied involvement, telling officers he was simply “exploring” and walking home from work. However, during the course of the investigation, he allegedly admitted to pulling on the doors of at least two vehicles.
Farrish was taken into custody and charged with theft from a motor vehicle and providing false identification to law enforcement. Further details regarding whether any property was stolen were not disclosed by authorities.
At this stage in the legal process, all charges remain allegations. As with all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
