CLAYMONT, DE — A 16-year-old male is facing multiple felony charges in connection with an armed robbery at a Claymont pharmacy last December, according to Delaware State Police.

Troopers responded at approximately 9:50 a.m. December 24, 2025, to Darley Pharmacy in the 100 block of Darley Road for a report of an armed robbery.

According to police, the preliminary investigation determined that an unknown white male suspect entered the business, allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register. An employee complied, and during the incident, the suspect also allegedly demanded property from a customer, who complied as well.

Police stated the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and property. No injuries were reported.

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit assumed the investigation and determined the suspect wore a face covering to conceal his identity.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the New Castle County Police Department Major Crimes Unit was investigating the same 16-year-old male in an unrelated case. According to police, county detectives identified evidence allegedly linking the teen to the Darley Pharmacy robbery and shared that information with state police.

Troopers reported that additional investigative efforts uncovered further evidence connecting the teen to the incident. Investigators also determined the juvenile had a prior felony conviction for an armed robbery committed in 2024, police said.

On February 24, 2026, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the teen, who was already in custody at the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families on unrelated charges.
