Suspect on the Run After Market Street Double Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are asking for public help in identifying a suspect linked to a non-fatal shooting that left two men injured on the evening of May 11, 2025.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:47 PM near the 5200 block of Market Street. Investigators say the suspect arrived from the direction of 52nd and Arch Street before the shooting and fled on foot toward 53rd Street afterward.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium complexion and heavy build, wearing all-black clothing and a blue baseball-style hat at the time of the incident.

Police urge anyone with information about the suspect or the crime to contact the Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8271, or submit a confidential tip by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477). Citizens are advised not to approach the suspect and to call 911 immediately if seen.

Law enforcement reminds the community that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
