BROOMALL, PA — Three men are facing multiple charges after a police encounter involving a wanted individual escalated into a brief pursuit at a retail store parking lot, authorities said.
According to Marple Township Police, officers located a vehicle belonging to a wanted individual around 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the parking lot of Home Depot on the 700 block of Reed Road.
Police reported that officers established surveillance and observed three males enter the vehicle a short time later.
Authorities said officers attempted to box in the vehicle, but it allegedly reversed into a marked patrol vehicle.
Police reported that two males were detained inside the vehicle, while a third male fled on foot.
According to investigators, officers pursued the individual through the parking lot, across Reed Road, and into a wooded area before taking him into custody. Police identified him as 36-year-old Brian Joseph Lashley.
Authorities said all three individuals were arraigned March 31 and transported to Delaware County Prison after failing to post bail.
Police reported the charges include retail theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, evading arrest or detention on foot, and conspiracy.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
