AVONDALE, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police stationed in Avondale have released a detailed summary of incidents spanning traffic crashes, theft investigations, domestic disturbances, juvenile offenses, and other law-enforcement responses occurring across Chester County from late September through November. The report provides an extensive look at the variety of cases troopers handled, including several active investigations.
Troopers documented multiple traffic crashes, several of which involved vehicles striking mailboxes, deer, or trees. In one case on Barnsley Road in East Nottingham Township, a driver left the roadway and struck a mailbox before fleeing the scene. Another crash along Limestone Road in Highland Township involved two vehicles and resulted in suspected minor injuries.
Several wildlife-related collisions were noted. Drivers on SR-52 in Pocopson Township and SR-41 in London Grove Township reported hitting deer, with vehicles requiring towing due to resulting damage.
More serious roadway incidents included an impairments-related crash under investigation on E Street Road in Thornbury Township. One driver was transported to Paoli Hospital with suspected minor injuries, and another was taken to the same facility with suspected serious injuries.
The report also includes several active theft investigations. In Lower Oxford Township, $580.00 in counterfeit $20 bills were reported stolen. Another incident at a Goodwill store in London Grove Township resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old West Grove man accused of stealing a handheld gaming device valued at $187.29. A separate theft in Londonderry Township involved the reported loss of $30,000.00 in U.S. currency.
Troopers also investigated a case at Avon Grove Middle School in which a 12-year-old girl from Lincoln University was arrested following allegations of making terroristic threats. Another school-related incident in West Fallowfield Township involved an 11-year-old Parkesburg boy accused of bringing a knife to school and attempting to stab another student. He was taken into custody and later transported to a juvenile detention facility.
In Lower Oxford Township, troopers responded to a domestic disturbance in which a 38-year-old woman from Oxford was arrested. Another case involved the recovery of a stolen 2009 Chevrolet Silverado belonging to a 24-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 1.
Additionally, troopers documented an unusual investigation in West Fallowfield Township after a tracking device was discovered on a vehicle while it was in Connecticut. No charges have been filed, and the case remains under review.
State Police emphasized that the information provided reflects preliminary investigative findings and may be updated as cases progress. All individuals identified in the report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
